At this point you have confirmed that mobo, psu, cpu, hd, gpu and ram are ok. This can be abit of a pain to figure out. So see if there pops up issues with benchmark tests. at this point it is confirmed that it works. run some tests and see that they are ok. So you should test it and confirm it is good. Higly recommend you upgrade it to gold or platinum. So you should test it and see if it delivers enough juce. The coils also dont last much more then a few years, or they might not clean out the noise good enough from factory. cheap psu never deliver what they clame to deliver. Throttling = pops and crackles with real time audio. You want the cpu to run at high preformance. turn off anything that is powersaving on the cpu. Once you can confirm that the hardware is free of conflict. Check your manual and see if your connected devices are in any form of conflict. If you are going to troubleshoot the issue properly. I have switched it out for a Scarlett 2i4 and have run both built in audio driver and ASIO4ALL. Also air pressure cleaned my whole pc last week.Īlready checked the interface. I have been running Core Temp and it stays at approximately 30C. PS: Also check the audio interface - does it get uninterrupted power? new cables? try built-in audio or a different interface?Yes I have tried running a session from a different drive. It shouldn't be done repeatedly, but certainly it's one thing to try to see if this is audio-specific or if it's something else. I think there's a PI calculation benchmark app for example that you let run for hours and if the CPU is stable and the system is stable it'll run fine and output a resulting score. You could actually try to run some other non-audio benchmarks to see if it's performing as it should. So if actual processing ends up being an issue you can open up the case and just make sure there's no buildup of dust. Just cleaning them up solved the problem completely. I opened up the case and the CPU fans were very, very clogged with dust. Graphics card was just put in today so the problem isn't related to the graphics card.ĭid you try running off of different drives?Īlso, is there a way for you to monitor CPU temperature? I once had a dual CPU server have degraded performance to the point of not even booting. Tried the onboard sound driver and ASIO4ALL driver. RAM: Corsair DDR4 Vengeance LPX 2x8GB 2666 C16Īudio Interface: Focusrite Saffire Pro 40ĬPU temperature stays within 30 C on all cores (measured with Core Temp). I’m willing to try anything at this point. I have posted this before on multiple forums but people just don’t answer. Turning of power saving options, updating all my drivers, using the Sweetwater performance guide, upgrading my pc, switching out my graphics card for another, turning off my antivirus, turning off my internet, turning off core 0 in task manager, turning off plugins to see if there is a bad plugin. I tried absolutely anything I could find. And I just can’t figure out what the problem is. Then there are some days where out of nowhere the same session works perfectly at a buffer size of 128. It started with some minor audio dropouts, but now I just have full days of not being able to work because the average load just maxes out at a buffer size of 2048 and it just skips over all the audio. I’ve been having increasing performance issues with Cubase. All right I’m posting this on all mediums I can think of.
